Pedro signed a new contract with the Catalan giants in June, but has been linked with an exit in recent months with a whole host of Premier League clubs interested.
It is believed that his €150m release clause still stands, and so it will be up to any interested parties to negotiate with Barca for a smaller fee.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Spaniard is open to leaving given that Suarez’s arrival has seen his opportunities reduced, and the signing of Arda Turan will likely negatively impact on him too.
However, Suarez doesn’t want to see the winger leave as he believes he is still an important part of their squad.
“Pedro’s thing is an individual decision. He’s had many years at the club, he has won many titles and his decision will be respected,” as reported by Sky Sports.
“But as a team-mate, obviously, I want Pedro to stay because of the importance that he has on a group level.”
It remains to be seen what Pedro decides to do, but Liverpool, United and Arsenal will all reportedly be monitoring his situation.
