Barcelona star Luis Suarez says he is enjoying his time with the La Liga giants, but says he wants to make a return to Dutch giants Ajax someday.
The Uruguayan won the treble with the Catalan club in his first season in Spain after making the move from Liverpool last summer.
Despite a slow start following his four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup, Suarez formed an unstoppable partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar as Barcelona with to win the La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey.
Suarez says that whilst he plans on retiring with Uruguayan club Nacional, he would love to again step onto the Amsterdam Arena in Ajax colours.
The 28-year-old refused to rule put a move to the now star-studded MLS, either.
“I would like to retire at the club I love, Nacional,” Suarez told ESPN Deportes Radio, as reported by Goal.
“But I also want to return to Ajax someday.
“The MLS would not be a bad choice. It could happen one day. The US love of the game is growing a lot. People are filling the stadiums.”
Suarez said he was currently playing for the best team in the world, but admitted that he believed the Premier League was the strongest competition of all.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world. But Barcelona are the best team,” Suarez explained.
“I do not consider myself one of the best players in the world but it is a pleasure to play in the best team.
“And we still have goals to fulfil. We want to become the first team to win consecutive Champions Leagues.
“We’re very motivated this season. We are obliged to keep winning.”
