Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has insisted that former Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is the ideal candidate for the Liverpool job.

The former Liverpool midfielder was speaking to Sky Sports, and revealed his belief that Klopp’s man-management and style of play would certainly suit the club as they look for a coach capable of inspiring his players to play a high-tempo and exciting brand of football.
According to the BBC, the deal to appoint the German tactician as Brendan Rodgers’s successor is close, and the club hope to have him signed by the end of the week.
With the international break currently in full swing, it would certainly give Klopp the opportunity to settle on Merseyside and work with his players that have remained at Melwood over the next week or so, should he indeed arrive at the club.
Nevertheless, the Reds are looking to make a swift appointment after deciding just hours after the Merseyside derby draw with Everton on Sunday that they would be departing company with Rodgers.
Klopp enjoyed a successful spell with Dortmund before leaving the club at the end of last season, and the 48-year-old has certainly proven both with his efforts in the Bundesliga and in Europe that he is worthy of another top job in European football moving forward.
