Manchester United have endured a dramatic week, as they failed to complete a deal with Real Madrid over the transfer of goalkeeper David de Gea.
This has pushed Victor Valdes even further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Manager Louis van Gaal is receiving criticism from Chelsea winger and former Man United target Pedro over his treatment of the former Barcelona man.
“It’s true that I don’t like that treatment for my colleagues, especially for Victor, who has been a reference as a team-mate and as a professional,” Pedro said, according to the Daily Star.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper was excluded from the Red Devils’ Champions League squad while fellow Spaniard David de Gea was named.
Man United are expected to throw De Gea back into action despite his clear desire to join Real Madrid.

Pedro was set to complete a deal with Man United before he flipped the script and joined Chelsea after being convinced by Spanish national team midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spanish international insists that van Gaal is not the reason he chose to snub Man United, but admitted Valdes had a major issue with Van Gaal.
“He told me that the club was very good and there was a great fan following, that his only problem was the situation with the coach,” Pedro said.
It remains to be seen whether Man United can move on from their transfer deadline mess and stay in contention for the Premier League title after a relatively fast start.
The Red Devils will next face Liverpool as they hope to recover and make a statement after losing to Swansea City.
