The New York Jets fired head coach Rex Ryan after the 2014 season due to posting a disappointing 4-12 record, and he is searching for a head coaching position elsewhere.
The Buffalo Bills are reported to be in the running for the outspoken defensive guru, and he has been invited back for a second interview with the team. Doug Marrone left abruptly after opting out of his contract following just two seasons in Buffalo.
Ryan has not been known as a coach who can get the most out of his offense, but the Bills are sure to remain a defensive force with him at the helm.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed the Bills’ plans on Twitter.
