Since being released by the New York Jets, running back Chris Johnson has been unable to find work, and his offseason became worse as he was shot in a drive-by.

Although Johnson was fortunate enough to survive the shooting, one of his friends had his life taken away. They had reportedly been leaving a concert and heading toward a recording studio.
The free-agent running back took a bullet to the shoulder, but his injury is not serious, and he has been released from the hospital after recovering.
