Four finalists have been announced though, and one of them will be featured on the cover of the game.
These players are New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.
Gronkowski will likely be the favorite to be the newest cover model since he was a major part of the Patriots winning the Super Bowl and is a big NFL personality.
His lovable demeanor will instantly gain him votes, but Patriots fans may want to vote against him as much as possible due to his injury history. The Madden curse may bite Gronkowski, as he never played all 16 games before last season.
Beckham is a strong candidate as well though, and his incredible touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys was his claim to fame as he became arguably the best receiver in the NFL in the last 10 weeks of the season.
He was able to burn any defensive back, including Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
Brown has a chance too though since he has become an elite receiver in the last two seasons, but Peterson will not likely win since the Cardinals fan base is not as big as the Patriots, Steelers or Giants.
