Remy is likely to be playing in red in 2014/15.
QPR striker Loic Remy has held talks with Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of a summer transfer, according to the Daily Mail.
The France international spent the past year impressing on-loan with Newcastle United, scoring 14 league goals in 26 appearances for Alan Pardew’s side.
This has attracted the attention of both the Gunners and the Reds, who are both looking to improve their respective squads during the close season.
Arsene Wenger is keen to improve his strike force at the Emirates Stadium with Olivier Giroud having been the only forward in any sort of form over the past 12 months.
Nicklas Bendtner is expected to leave north London when his current contract expires in a few weeks time, whilst Yaya Sanogo is yet to score his first goal for the club.
Wenger has admitted that his side relied too much on Giroud for goals and the 27-year-old has been criticised for failing to perform against the so-called ‘big teams.’
Remy is contracted at Loftus Road until 2017, but has a £7m release clause written into his contract that means he is unlikely to be playing for the Hoops next campaign – regardless of if they earn promotion from the Championship.
Meanwhile Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his squad over the summer upon his side’s return to the Champions League following a five year absence.
It’s thought that their is not enough depth at Anfield currently, although having to compete for a place in the starting XI with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez may deter Remy.
