Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has reportedly signed a new contract with the club just weeks after he looked to be heading out the door, according to The Sun.

The 23-year-old is now in the final year of his contract, and a new deal looked to have passed him by as he was sent out on loan to Charlton last month.
However, since being recalled from the Championship side he has impressed with his performances in the defensive midfield role – a position that Wenger has had significant trouble with in recent seasons.
It is believed he has now put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal worth an estimated £40,000-per-week.
The Gunners will likely now also offer a new deal to full-back Nacho Monreal, who has been a target for Athletic Bilbao lately.
The 28-year-old is another of Arsenal’s stars to recover from a shaky start to the campaign.
