This loss deeply affected the players, and they were called in for a press conference. Naturally, they were asked about AP Player of the Year Frank Kaminsky.
Kaminsky scored 20 points with 11 rebounds and proved to be difficult to defend, even by a defensive-minded Kentucky team.
Forward Karl-Anthony Towns was asked why Kaminsky was so hard to stop, and guard Andrew Harrison was heard whispering “F*** that n***a” into the microphone.
Although he covered his mouth, he was heard and became a viral Internet subject. Kaminsky responded to this comment and brushed it off.
“He reached out to me, we talked about it, [I’m] over it,” the Wisconsin star said to ESPN.
Harrison has apologized through his Twitter account as well after reaching out to Kaminsky.
The Harrison twin is expected to be drafted in the second round if he declares for the draft, which he is expected to do after two years at Kentucky.
