2. Carlton Cole
Tipped to be the next big thing when he burst onto the scene at Chelsea in 2002. He never made it at Stamford Bridge, but, after loan spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa, he finally settled at West Ham United. Cole netted 68 goals for the Hammers, before being released this summer. At 31, he still has plenty of goals left in him.
