Fulham and Aston Villa will go head-to-head over the signature of Le Havre’s Gueida Fofana, according to talkSPORT.
The French club are currently languishing in Ligue 2 and the 20-year-old has shone at that level. Now he is looking to test himself and has gained the attention of the two Premier League clubs who are seeking to add more options to their squad without breaking the bank.
The midfielder is rumoured to be available for as little as £1m which, if reports on his ability are to be believed, could prove to be a snip.
Despite being one of France’s less fashionable clubs located in tough city, Le Havre has produced some footballers of note in recent years such as Lassana Diarra, Ibrahim Ba and Pascal Chimbonda. Fofana could be another off the production line.
