Fulham sign Scott Parker from Spurs on three year deal.
Fulham have announced that they have completed a deal to sign Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 32 year-old England international struggled with injury for much of the last campaign at White Hart Lane, but agrees a three year contract to move to Craven Cottage.
Parker provides some much needed experience and leadership to the Fulham squad, as well as fantastic drive thanks to his indefatigable engine, and spoke of his elation at sealing his transfer switch.
“I’m delighted to be joining Fulham and I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates at training tomorrow morning,” said Parker to the official club website.
“Fulham is an established Premier League club and I look forward to trying to help the team progress even further over the next three years.”
Fulham manager Martin Jol was also effusive in his praise for his new signing.
“I’m delighted that Scott has joined us,” said a beaming Jol.
“He’s a midfielder who works tirelessly for his team and is a fantastic player both on and off the ball.
“It is wonderful to see a player of his stature playing for Fulham Football Club as he has shown his qualities in the Premier League and for the England team for many years.
“I’m happy that he’s here and joins us for training ahead of our first home match of the season.”
Parker adds Fulham to Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur as the London clubs he has previously turned out for.
