Cottagers are favourites to land Spurs star.
Fulham have now joined the queue to sign experienced Tottenham Hotspur defensive midfield player Scott Parker this summer, according to reports in the Daily Star.
The some-time England international has been deemed surplus to requirements by Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas, who is understood to want a younger and more mobile holding midfield player at White Hart Lane next season in order to aid his side’s push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
As a result, the 32-year-old is currently on the look-out for a new club for the upcoming campaign, with west London outfit Fulham having joined Sunderland in now expressing an interest in bringing Parker to Craven Cottage when the summer transfer window reopens on July 1.
Parker, whose current contract with the north Londoners only runs until June 30 2015, featured in just 28 matches in all competitions for Spurs last season due to the Achilles’ injury that he picked up playing for the Three Lions at Euro 2012, and is thought to prefer a move to Fulham in order to be able to remain in the capital.
