Cottagers to offer England midfielder Anfield escape route.
Fulham are preparing to make another move to sign Jordan Henderson in January after failing to land him in the summer.
The Liverpool midfielder has only been on the fringes of Brendan Rodgers’ team since the Northern Irishman took charge.
Fulham were offered Henderson in part-exchange for Clint Dempsey during the summer but the England international rejected the move and decided to fight for his place at Anfield.
Fulham are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve, and Henderson’s desire to play regular first-team football, in the forthcoming window.
Martin Jol wants to add greater youth and dynamism to a midfield that was decimated by the departures of Mousa Dembele, Clint Dempsey, Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu in the summer.

While Jordan Henderson has improved of late, there is little doubt that Liverpool’s £16m purchase from Sunderland has been yet another monumental waste of money and any decent offer from Fulham may be accepted by Brendan Rodgers.
The Anfield boss is keen to put his own stamp on the Liverpool squad he inherited and the Northern Irishman has no qualms about dropping or offloading the expensive mistakes Kenny Dalglish made during his reign as boss.
Andy Carroll was shipped out on loan and Stewart Downing has been used out of position at left-back or not at all.
Rodgers has handed Henderson, 22, just two Premier League starts this season so an offer of around, or even above, half the sum Liverpool forked out 18 months ago will surely be gladly accepted.
Worryingly for Rodgers, however, is the news that Henderson has dismissed talk of a loan move and said he is keen to stay at Anfield for life. Yikes.
