Cottagers complete deal to bring in midfielder
Fulham have today completed the signing of Chris David, confirmed by BBC Football.
David, aged nineteen, has progressed through the Dutch academy and has even represented the Netherlands at youth level. David will join compatriot and manager Martin Jol, who no doubt spotted the talented midfielder ahead of a number of clubs.
“He has signed and he is here,” Jol said. “He trained with us on Friday.
“He is 19 years of age, player of the year of all the academies in Holland. He is an exciting talent but he will need at least six months to adapt.”
The Dutch manager added: “But hopefully he will do it quicker. He is a very, very good talent.
“People say Ajax were interested and I imagine there will have been other clubs who were interested in him.”
Fulham also confirmed today that they have released Mickael Tavares, who was brought in on a month-by-month basis in October.
