In the aftermath of former Chelsea star goalkeeper Petr Cech crossing town to join Arsenal, a shocking number of Blues fans have taken to social media to express hatred and even make death threats against him.
Below are images of some actual Tweets that were published in the aftermath of Cech’s decision to sign with Arsenal for £11 million.
Many people called Cech a “snake” for essentially turning traitor and joining Chelsea’s bitter cross-town rival.
Some even referenced the brutal hit Cech took to the head back in 2006.
Some of the messages and images are undoubtedly scary and should be reported to proper authorities.
In the meantime, however, Arsenal fans and stars are celebrating the signing of one of the best stoppers in Premier League history. With over 160 clean sheets for his career, Cech is just a few away from setting the all-time Premier League mark.
