Unal Aysal wants Chelsea to bid for Burak Yilmaz.
Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal has encouraged Chelsea to bid for star striker Burak Yilmaz.
The Blues have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, who scored 8 goals in just nine Champions League appearances last summer and has bagged 34 goals in 45 games since joining Gala in summer 2012.
The Turkey international was linked with a summer move to Serie A outfit Lazio, while Chelsea are thought to be interested in a January move for the £20m-rated forward and could even offer Demba Ba in part-exchange.
Far from warning the Blues off Gala’s prize asset, Aysal has encourage the Stamford Bridge outfit to puruse Yilmaz.
“If he wants to go and Chelsea are interested, then why not. I am always in favour of Turkish players going to the top clubs in Europe,” Aysal admitted.
“There was a request from Lazio at the end of the summer but the deal was not done because the conditions were not met.”
