‘Mou’ is understood not to be a fan of the Nigerian’s.
Chelsea defensive midfield player John Obi Mikel is wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer, according to reports in the Sun.
The experienced Nigeria international has been at Stamford Bridge for the past seven seasons now, having originally signed for the west London club from Lyn Olso for £16 million in June 2006.
And in the intervening seven-year period the 26-year-old has endured a stop-star career in the capital, featuring in 277 matches for Chelsea during that time, scoring just the two goals in the process, including 182 appearances in the Premier League.
However, it is understood that new Blues head coach Jose Mourinho is not an admirer of the holding midfield player and is happy to let Mikel depart the club when the summer transfer window reopens on July 1, with Turkish champions Galatasaray hoping to take advantage of the situation by lodging a bid of £13m for the player’s services.
