United are demanding the Turkish side pay £8.5m for Nani.
Galatasaray chairman Unal Aysal says the club are no longer interested in Man United winger Nani, after the Old Trafford outfit slapped an £8.5m price-tag on the Portuguese.
Nani looks set to leave United this summer after reaching stalemate in his contract negotiations with the Premier League Champions.
The former Sporting Lisbon star started just ten matches last season and new boss David Moyes is reportedly ready to offload the winger for the right price.
But Gala, who have added the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba to their ranks in the past six months, look unlikely to pull off another coup after Aysal claimed United were demanding too much for the 26-year-old.
“We offered €7million (£6m) for him. But they didn’t accept. We can’t give more than this,” Aysal told Sky Sports.
“We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can’t give more than €7m for him.
“They want €10million (£8.5million). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore.”
Having signed for the club in 2007 for 25.5m euros, the attacking midfielder failed to reach the high standards many predicted, despite playing alongside compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, and it seems United are finally cutting their losses on the player who has scored just 26 goals in 133 league appearances.
