Podolski and Campbell on the Turkish champions’ radar.

Arsenal may have to fend off in interest of two of their attacking players from Turkish Premier League champions Galatasaray, with the Express reporting that Cesare Prandelli’s side are interested in both Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell.
Despite neither player likely to be a regular starter for Arsene Wenger this season, the Frenchman would be unlikely to want to see anyone leave this close to the season’s big kick-off, particularly after also selling Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona in recent days.
The report suggests that Arsenal value newly crowned World Cup winner Podolski at a huge £20m, a fee that is likely to put off any advances from the Turks, although Costa Rican forward Campbell may be available for a much more reasonable £8m.
Despite not being an automatic starter for Arsenal, Podolski brings additional things to the Emirates Stadium squad, including his versatility, being capable as he is of playing both upfront and out wide, and also the galvanising force that the former FC Koln man appears to be within the Gunners’ dressing room.
Campbell, meanwhile, would be more likely to be allowed to leave, with the Costa Rican appearing to still be behind fellow youngster Yaya Sanogo in the pecking order despite his fine World Cup for Los Ticos.
