Nani is the target of a bid from the Turkish champions.
Out-of-favour Manchester United winger Nani is a transfer target for Galatasaray, according to reports from Turkish website Aksam.
The Portuguese star has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for some time, after falling down the pecking order for a starting place behind the likes of Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck.
Now the Turkish team want to add Nani to their squad, which is rapidly growing more impressive following the signings of world-class players such as Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in the last 12 months.
Galatasaray also made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2012/13, eventually being knocked out by Real Madrid after putting up a strong battle over two-legs – even winning the home encounter 3-2.
Manager Fatih Terim has been a long-term admirer of Nani and if he signed would become the side’s second transfer of the close season, after securing Lille defender Aurelien Chedjou for £5.5m.
It’s thought that United value the 26-year-old at £12m, whereas Galatasaray would only be willing to part with £8.5m.
However, with the Red Devils paying out £22.4m for the Portugal international in 2007 they will want to make some of that money back if they were to sell.
Nani has played just 11 Premier League games for United this season, despite the winger providing more assists in the league since 2009 than any other player.
The forming Sporting Lisbon player’s limited playing time resulted in just one top flight goal and with stars such as Shinji Kagawa and Ashley Young – who play in a similar position to Nani – back from injury next season, the Portuguese could find his opportunities in Manchester even more sparse.
