Anonymous team official slates talent in this year’s draft pool.
While not every year produced players such as Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Trent Richardson like it did last season, most draft classes are able to whet the appetite of all general mangers looking for the next hall of fame player to be picked for their team.
This year however seems to be different, with one general manger reportedly unimpressed by the amount of top tier talent available in this year’s draft class.
Speaking to CBSSports.com, the executive said in the future, this draft will be seen as one of the worst in the last 10 years.
“When we look back at this draft in five or 10 years,” said the team executive, “we might view it as one of the worst we’ve seen in some time.
“There will be 13-15 players picked in the first round that are true first-rounders…That’s a fairly low number.”
It has been considered one of the sightly weaker classes in recent times, mainly due to the fact their are no elite prospects at the Quarterback position something the draft has been spoilt with over the past two years, but while that position seems poor, prospects on the offensive and defensive line are at an all time high.
It is where you have your priorities and needs in a a draft as to how you see the overall value of it’s prospects, it is ultimately what you make of your own picks is what will determine the talent in the draft.
