All the player ratings from Ghana’s 2-1 Group G loss to the USA.
Adam Kwarasey 5
A mostly composed performance from the goalkeeper. He flapped at a few crosses, but made a few decent saves, especially on Dempsey late on.
Daniel Opare 6
Was busy at right back and looked dangerous going forward, however his final balls were wasteful.
Jonathan Mensah 5
Looked comfortable on the ball, but should have done better on Brooks’ winner.
John Boye 4.5
Was at fault for both goals. Dempsey skipped around him in the opening minute of the match, then lost track of Brooks for USA’s winner.
Kwadwo Asamoah 6.5
Worked extremely hard down the left hand side and caused problems for the USA defence. One of Ghana’s better performers.
Sulley Muntari 6
Looked frustrated in the first half and was fortunate not go to in the referee’s book for a rash challenge on Jermaine Jones. Improved in the second half like much of his team.
Mohammed Rabiu 6
Solid performance from Rabiu. Nothing special, but did his job for the most part.
Jordan Ayew 5
Ghana would have been expecting more from an exceptional talent. Never really got involved and was substituted early in the second half.
Christian Atsu 6.5
Constantly made a nuisance of himself by running at the USA defence, but his passing and some of his decision-making were off the boil.
Andre Ayew 6.5
Took his goal well, but missed a few other chances.
Asamoah Gyan 6
Set up Ayew’s equaliser with a superb backheel, but Ghana needed more from him.
SUBSTITUTES
Kevin-Prince Boateng 6
Provided a spark to the Ghana attack when he came on, but took a few ridiculous shots that were never going to trouble USA goalkeeper Tim Howard.
