A look back at the Black Stars semi final defeat 

In preparation of Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Zambia on Friday, fanatix takes a look back at the Black Star’s African Cup of Nations campaign.

Ghana eased through the group stages unbeaten, a 2-2 draw with the Democratic Republic of Congo the only blot on their copybook.

In the quarter-finals stage they dispatched the Cape Verde islands 2-0, before losing on penalties to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals.

To add insult to injury for the Black Stars they then lost the third place play-off 3-1 to Mali, who they’d previously beaten in the group stages.
