Souttar is so tall his feet don’t even fit in this photo!
Most footballers look tiny when stood next to Peter Crouch. Not Stoke City teammate Harry Souttar, though!
Souttar is still shorter than Crouchy, but – at 198cm, compared to 201cm – there’s little over an inch in it.
Stoke signed Souttar from Dundee United last summer.
However, he was unable to play for the Potters until last night when he made his debut for the U18s in a 4-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Youth Cup.
That win sent Stoke into the last 16 and Souttar was delighted.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m just delighted that I could finally play. It was frustrating but there’s no point in getting down about it, that time’s over now and I can play.
“I’ve just got to hit the ground running and it was a good to start with a win.”
The 17-year-odl added: “I’ve moved here and I’ve always wanted to play in the FA Youth Cup,” he added.
“I played in the Scottish Youth Cup and we got to the semi-finals last year, but I’ve always wanted to play in the English youth cup.
“We just need to take just one game at a time, and if we play our best we can beat anyone on our day.”
Souttar has represented Scotland internationally at U17 and U19 levels.
His older brother John Souttar, 20, still plays north of the border for Hearts, but The Sun linked him with a possible move to Aston Villa back in October.
