Having clawed back to 2-2 from 2-0 down against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, there was bad news for Arsenal as Olivier Giroud suffered a late injury.
The initial prognosis suggested the France international would be out of action for around three months, but there are now reports that his condition is even worse and that with a broken ankle the striker will not play again until 2015.
To add insult to injury the moment that Giroud was actually struck down was when Toffees defender Sylvain Distin kicked the ball at him.
