Surely this was the best penalty from last night’s Confederations Cup semi-final between Spain and Italy?

The Lazio man stepped up first, and without blinking calmly chipped the ball into the back of the net to the surprise of Spanish keeper Iker Casillas.

This classy “panenka” summed up Candreva’s night and he did not deserve to be on the losing team.

Spain triumphed 7-6 to reach the final of the Confederations Cup. A remarkable 12 spot kick’s were scored in a row, without the keepers touching any of them.
