(Gif) Tottenham 1-0 West Ham: Former reject Adebayor nets the opener

The striker has given Spurs the lead on the African’s first start.

After making just one appearance this season under former Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas, Emmanuel Adebayor has scored the opener against West Ham United.

The Togo international has been handed the striker’s first start of the campaign by interim boss Tim Sherwood in this League Cup clash and has repaid the faith.

Adebayor latched onto a cross from attacking partner Jermain Defoe to volley the ball in.
