We’ve run out of superlative for Gareth Bale. See below.
West Ham 0-1 Tottenham (Bale)
West Ham 1-1 Tottenham (A. Carroll)
West Ham 2-1 Tottenham (J. Cole)
West Ham 2-2 Tottenham (Sigurdsson)
West Ham 2-3 Tottenham (Bale)
Gareth Bale was again Tottenham’s hero as the Welshman’s stunning last minute winner handed Spurs a 3-2 victory over West Ham at Upton Park.
Bale had earlier put Tottenham in front after a mistake by Guy Demel but an Andy Carroll penalty, after the Liverpool loanee was fouled by Scott Parker, and a scuffed effort by Joe Cole but the Hammers in front.
Glyfi Sigurdsson levelled with his first Premier League goal for the North London outfit, before Bale stole the show once again with a fabulous left-footed drive which gave the in-form Jussi Jaskelaainen no chance.
The Finnish goalkeeper had earlier pulled off a string of fine saves to keep the visitors at bay.
Bale has now scored 8 of Tottenham’s nine goals in the Premier League and the 23-year-old boasts 15 for the season.
Spurs move into third, one point ahead of Chelsea, while West Ham slip to fourteenth.
