The Gold Coast Titans are reportedly edging closer to landing the signature of Brisbane Broncos full back Josh Hoffman.
According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, the Titans could make an announcement on his capture as early as the end of the week.
Hoffman was given permission by the Broncos to negotiate with rival clubs due to the influx of full backs arriving at the club for the 2015 season.
Anthony Milford, Ben Barba and Greg Eden are all on the Broncos list for next season, while it is expected Darius Boyd will join after the Broncos free up salary cap room.
The Titans released halves Albert Kelly and Maurice Blair to English Super League club Hull KR last week, freeing up space for the Gold Coast club to offer Hoffman a lucrative deal.
Hoffman’s manager Paul Hogan told The Gold Coast Bulletin his client was keen to sort out his future quickly.
“We’d rather make a decision sooner rather than later,” Hogan said.
“They’ve certainly shown some interest and there’s a couple of other clubs involved as well. We’re getting down to it. Obviously he’s born in Queensland and Brisbane has been his home for the last eight years.
“That’s (staying in Queensland) certainly a consideration but it’s not necessarily the deciding factor.
“We’ll be weighing all our options up and looking at where we think he can play his best football, look after his family the best and be happy.”
The Titans face competition to sign Hoffman however, with the Canberra Raiders also reportedly interested in the Kiwi.
