The rookie has been fined and disqualified from driving after the Surfers Paradise incident.
Gold Coast Titans rookie Paul Carter has been fined $1400 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Police say Carter registered a blood-alcohol reading of 1.093, four times the legal limit, after being caught driving on the wrong side of the road on Orchard Street at Surfers Paradise on June 12.
On top of the penalties handed down by the Southport Magistrates Court, the Gold Coast Titans stood Carter down for two matches and fined $12,000.
The club is expected to make a statement later on Thursday.
