Cherry-Evans on Wednesday announced his decision to backflip on his deal to join the Gold Coast Titans, instead choosing to remain at the Manly Sea Eagles after the NRL club offered the 26-year-old a “lifetime deal”.
According to The Courier-Mail, Titans coach Neil Henry wants to bring Sandow back to the club to partner Kane Elgey in the halves position.
It is also believed Henry is interested in Canterbury Bulldogs playmaker Trent Hodkinson.
Sandow was sacked by the Titans in 2008 after missing a series of training sessions, but he now looms as being Gold Coast’s potential saviour in the midst of Cherry-Evans’ decision to not join the club.
Sydney Roosters pivot James Maloney also remains an option, however The Courier-Mail reports the 28-year-old is out of the Titans’ price range.
