It’s been a nightmare period for the Titans, with the club hit with a drug dealing scandal pre-season. Several players have been stand down and the NRL has taken over the running of the club.
It’s been a terrible issue for head coach Neil Henry to deal with, who has only been in the job for around six months. Henry’s team will be without Greg Bird, Dave Taylor and Beau Fallon, who have all been linked with the drugs allegations.
A victory would be a welcome distraction for the Titans. But the Tigers will want to get their new campaign off in a winning note.
Jason Taylor has taken the clipboard and will have props Aaron Woods and Keith Galloway leading from the front-row.
The Tigers have a number of exciting young players, none more so than halves Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks, along with fullback James Tedesco. Look for these three to fire if the joint-venture club is to enjoy a fruitful season.
