The Gunners set to reward impressive striker.
Arsenal are said to be on the verge of tying down their premier striker Olivier Giroud to a new two-year deal at the club, according to the Mirror.
The Gunners have all but agreed terms over an extension for the Frenchman, who has been a tireless worker for the side in the last couple of seasons.
Giroud made a £10 million move to the Emirates Stadium in 2012, and has been a decent performer for the North Londoners netting 39 goals in 98 matches so far for them, while also assisting several more.
The 27-year old is currently in Brazil playing for France at the World Cup, and his new contract could be announced soon after his return from national team duty.
There were some concerns over Giroud’s future at Arsenal last term, when some personal troubles led to speculation that he might move back to France, but he seems to be more at ease now, and is keen on extending his stay in London by a couple more years.
