The Green Bay Packers finished with a 3-1 preseason as they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 34-14. Matt Flynn made the start at quarterback, and he recovered from his previous preseason struggles.
The Packers took a 20-0 lead in the second quarter, but the Chiefs trimmed it with a touchdown toward the end of the second quarter. Both teams scored a touchdown in the third quarter to put the score at 27-14, but the Packers buried the Chiefs with another touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Matt Flynn started at quarterback for the Packers and recovered from his previous rough preseason games. The No. 2 hopeful threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns on 7-for-15 passing. Scott Tolzien continued to make a strong case with 139 yards and two touchdowns on 12-for-18 passing.
Outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott also continued to shine with another sack, which gives him five total in the preseason.
For the Chiefs, Chase Daniel started at quarterback and failed to get anything going. Tyler Bray had a respectable performance though as he completed 8-of-15 of his passes for 116 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw an interception.
Joe McKnight led the rushing attack with 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
