Fan has been on list since 1976 and finally reaches top of list containing 105,000 names.
You get die-hard fans on any team regardless of sports. Fans will wait patiently to get that coveted season ticket to see their beloved team play.
Most of the time, that may only be a season or two, as fans either cannot financially keep up with the demands or cannot commit to seeing the team play all season.
In Green Bay, that simply isn’t the case. If you have a season ticket at the 72,000 seat stadium, then it is not just a season ticket, it’s also a privilege.
The stadium has been sold out every single game since the mid-sixties and if you want a ticket then you must wait, very patiently.
If you have a season ticket then you don’t give it up, if you do, it is because you have either left the country or dead.
Even then, you will leave it to your children or family member to carry on the tradition.
It takes one moment of complete chance and luck to get a seat to call your own at Lambeau field. That piece of luck fell to Brad Sauve, who had reached the top of a 105,000 waiting list to be awarded to brand new season tickets…at a high price.
According to Packersnews.com, Sauve will pay $5,390 for the pair, something that he has no problem in doing considering how rare and opportunity this is and the length he has been waiting.
So next time you moan that you couldn’t get a ticket to watch your team play, just remember those 105,000 fans that still have half a century to play before they get the opportunity to see their team play just once.
