Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick received some good news and will return in a couple of weeks from a lower leg injury.
Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick left the Packers’ preseason game against the St. Louis Rams with a lower leg injury and did not return.
There were initially concerns that Bostick would miss significant time, but Packers fans can breathe a sigh of relief after it was revealed he would only miss a couple of weeks to nurse his injury.
Head coach Mike McCarthy revealed the news to the official Packers website. “He’s going to be a couple of weeks,” McCarthy said.
Bostick is expected to be a contender to start at tight end for the Packers, but rookie Richard Rodgers and Andrew Quarless will both have a prime opportunity to seal the deal with Bostick out.
The injured tight end had a catch for nine yards against the Rams before he sustained his lower leg injury. Luckily, the Packers have plenty of depth at tight end and should be able to manage without Bostick.
