The Green Bay Packers will look to figure out who their No. 2 quarterback will be as they face the Kansas City Chiefs in their preseason finale.
The Green Bay Packers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in their final preseason games they enter with a 2-1 record. The Chiefs have a 1-2 record.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will sit the preseason finale as he usually does for the Packers, so Matt Flynn and Scott Tolzien will have their final auditions to be Rodgers’ backup.
Center Corey Linsley will get his first crack at first-team reps since J.C. Tretter went down with a knee injury, and Josh Sitton is expected to see reps there too since he is currently the emergency backup plan.
The Packers will also have to adjust to life without nose tackle B.J. Raji, who will be out for the season with a torn bicep.
The Chiefs will sit running back Jamaal Charles along with quarterback Alex Smith, so Knile Davis and De’Anthony Thomas will receive significant playing time.
Chase Daniel, Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray will all have playing time at quarterback. Daniel is expected to earn the No. 2 job, and Murray and Bray will fight for a No. 3 job and ultimately a spot on the Chiefs’ roster.
