Colts owner Jim Irsay is one of the few recent drunk-driving arrests that has not been punished by the league.
With Colts owner Jim Irsay’s guilty plea on Tuesday to charges relating to an arrest for drunk driving several months, some people are predicting that the NFL may finally punish the bold owner – Hall of Fame WR Cris Carter is among them.
On Tuesday morning, Carter stated on Twitter that Irsay would most likely get a one-year suspension and a large fine from the league as the NFL continues to crack down on drinking and driving in the NFL on all levels.
Jim Irsay will probably get suspended a year and a heavy fine.

A year-long suspension seems unlikely for a first-offender considering no one was hurt by Irsay. The last player to receive a full-year suspension for a DUI or drug arrest was Donte Stallworth in 2009 after the former receiver struck was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in Florda.
Irsay was arrested under suspicion of DUI and drug possession back in March.
