In order to qualify for the 2014-15 fanatix Writers’ Young Player of the Year award, the candidates had to be 22 years old or younger.
Check out who voted for who and why below and on page two…
Jordan Chamberlain picked Harry Kane
“It’s got to be Kane, despite the annoying ‘He’s one of our own’ chant. I don’t think 23-year-old Eden Hazard should qualify as a ‘young player,’ so I’m choosing England’s next starting centre-forward. Next season will be a true test of his abilities, however. Can he do it again?”
Mohamuud Jama picked Harry Kane
“Numbers speak for themselves and his patience has been rewarded.”
Mark Apostolou picked Harry Kane
“Any player who racks up 30+ goals in a season deserves the utmost credit, but to do so with a club who have been woefully inconsistent is another feather in Kane’s cap It’s also worth noting he wasn’t even a first choice starter when the campaign began!”
Jordan Harris picked Harry Kane
“Great first season that no one expected. Hopefully, he can bring that form to England in the future.”
Max Miller picked Harry Kane
“Like Sergio Aguero, Kane has over 30 goals, albeit with some coming against smaller sides in the Europa League. Let’s not get carried away until we see if he does it again next season, but the striker could be good enough to help both Spurs and England do great things in the coming years.”
