All that remains is for the player to agree to personal terms, though Fulham could still swoop for the England international.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed to Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur have accepted a bid for midfielder Scott Parker.
“It’s down to Scott now. The chairman has agreed a deal with Tottenham. It’s up to Scotty now.
“Hopefully Scotty will feel the same and come here. We feel this is a club progressing and we’d love him to be part of it here.”
Spurs have recently seen an influx of quality midfielders arriving at the club, so it comes as little surprise to fans that Parker is facing the exit.
The 32-year-old had a tremendous start to life at White Hart Lane, being voted the club’s player of the season in 2011-12 as well as being selected for the PFA Team of the Year.
Last season saw something of a decline for the England international though, as an over-reliance on him following injuries to midfield duo Mousa Dembele and Sandro took its toll on his ageing legs.
Following this summer’s arrivals of Etienne Capoue and Paulinho, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has wasted no time in offloading central midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore to Hull City.
It seems like Scott Parker will inevitably follow suit before the window closes to be reunited with former manager Redknapp, although Fulham have been thought to have made an eleventh-hour bid for the player.
