Harry Redknapp will return to his former Tottenham favourites in order to strengthen QPR’s Premier League survival hopes this summer.
Having already completed a deal for former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand, who he once managed at West Ham United, Redknapp is now looking at recruiting more of his former prodigies.
The Daily Mirror are linking Rangers with moves for Peter Crouch, Rafael van der Vaart and Kyle Naughton, with Redknapp insisting he needs to sign at least six senior professionals after a glut of players left the club.
Crouch has been with Stoke City since 2011, for whom he has scored 25 goals in 100 Premier League appearances. The former England international played for Redknapp at Tottenham between 2009 and 2011, and at Portsmouth during the 2008-09 season.
Van der Vaart has been with Hamburg since leaving Tottenham in 2012. The German club narrowly avoided relegation from the Bundesliga last season, and could be keen on a return to England, having impressed during his first spell in London with 24 Premier League goals.
Naughton is still with Tottenham, having joined the club from Sheffield United in 2009. However, after five years at the club he has still made just 30 Premier League appearances, and has had three loan spells with Middlesbrough, Leicester City and Norwich City.
