Nobody would have believed the Western Bulldogs would have been sitting above the reigning premiers in round three, but that’s certainly the case as the two sides square off at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The Bulldogs go into the clash with a 2-0 record following wins over West Coast and Richmond and coach Luke Beveridge has an extensive knowledge of the Hawks after serving as an assistant under Alastair Clarkson.
Hawthorn on the other hand looked unstoppable in its round one win over Geelong, but faltered against the Bombers last week.
Clarkson’s men will be looking to bounce back as they search for a three-peat in 2015, and there’s no doubt they are the overwhelming favourites here.
The Hawks will be without star defender James Frawley, but gain experience through the returns of Sam Mitchell and Josh Gibson
Can the Western Bulldogs cause a major upset? Or will the Hawks prove to be far too strong?
Make sure you tune in to find out!
