4. Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska
Abdullah garnered some more consideration for the Heisman in the Cornhuskers’ victory over Illinois by rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. He carried the offense all by himself early on as quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. failed to complete a pass until the second quarter.
The Nebraska running back has rushed for eight touchdowns already this season, and he has rushed for a whopping 7.3 yards per carry. If the Cornhuskers continue to be a ranked team and Abdullah keeps up his monster numbers, the voters will have no choice but to invite him to New York for the Heisman ceremony.
Stats: 114 carries, 833 rushing yards, 8 touchdowns; 5 receptions, 108 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns
