1. Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
Ladies and gentlemen, your new Heisman frontrunner! Gurley continued to steamroll through the competition as he ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries against Vanderbilt. For good measure, the Bulldogs running back also threw a 50-yard touchdown pass.
The junior running back still faces stiff competition for the Heisman, but rushing for a whopping 8.2 yards per carry is hard to ignore, and Gurley has three ranked opponents remaining in Missouri, Auburn and Georgia Tech. This will give him plenty more opportunities to close the gap in the race, but holding off Mariota and Prescott will be a challenge.
Stats: 94 carries, 773 rushing yards, 8 touchdowns; 11 receptions, 53 receiving yards, 0 touchdowns
