Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson came up with an outrageous piece of skill to set up Adam Lallana for a brilliant goal in today’s preseason friendly against Thailand Allstars in Bangkok.
Henderson played Lallana in on goal with a delicious rabona through pass, before the former Southampton star beat the goalkeeper with a drilled left-foot finish.
The goal put Liverpool 3-0 in the 52nd minute, adding to first-half strikes from Lazar Markovic and Mamadou Sakho.
July has been a pretty special month for Henderson so far.
The 25-year-old former Sunderland man was confirmed as Steven Gerrard’s replacement as Liverpool captain last Friday.
Later that day, it was announced that Henderson had beaten Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Thibaut Courtois in a vote to accompany Barcelona legend Lionel Messi on the cover of EA Sports video game FIFA 16, according to The Mirror.
Henderson’s stunning pass, which you can watch below, looks just like something cocky FIFA fans will love to try out on the new game.
