The USC Trojans held on for a 45-42 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Holiday Bowl to finish their season with a 9-4 record.

No. 24 USC found themselves in position to blow a seemingly comfortable lead in the Holiday Bowl against Nebraska. They held a 45-27 lead in the third quarter before allowing two unanswered touchdowns.
The Trojans held on for a 45-42 victory though in contrast to games such as a loss to Arizona State.
USC quarterback Cody Kessler threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns with an interception on 23-of-39 passing. This increased his season total of touchdown passes to 39.
Running back Javorius Allen ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Nelson Agholor caught seven passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in what might be his final college game.
For the Cornhuskers, quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns against one interception on 32-of-51 passing.
Running back Ameer Abdullah rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries as wide receiver De’Mornay Pierson-El led the team in receiving with eight receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.
