The Houston Texans are heading into their bye week with a 4-5 record, and wide receiver Andre Johnson has made it no secret that he is disgruntled with his current place in football.
Before the season, trade rumors constantly floated around the receiver, but he has remained with the team. However, Johnson is still clearly frustrated with the direction of the Texans.
Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cary Williams in particular has observed this. “I don’t know if he’s happy. I’m not sure. I know he had some disputes before the season in a couple of years now. But I know Andre Johnson. I know what he’s done over his career. Just the attitude. It just wasn’t the same,” the Eagles cornerback said according to Houston CBS Local.
This is not too far-fetched for Williams to suggest since Johnson was held to two catches for 12 yards in the Texans’ loss. Johnson did not disagree with these comments. “I’m trying to help the team win. But I only can do what I can do,” the Texans wide receiver said to the Houston Chronicle.
If Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick does not improve his play, their offense may become even more doomed with Johnson bound to leave for another team.
