One such position is in attack, where Wenger himself has admitted that too much reliance was put upon Olivier Giroud last season.
Although the France international came in for criticism once again, his performances were generally good and the 27-year-old has formed good links with Ozil and Walcott.
Beyond Giroud though things look bleak and with Nicklas Bendtner set to be released and Yaya Sanogo yet to score a goal for the side, at least one more striker is required.
Currently QPR forward Loic Remy and Mario Mandzukic of Bayern Munich look the most likely to fill that void, according to the Daily Express, although they will face competition from London rivals Chelsea.
